A pretty warm Good morning to all of you.Respected teachers and my dear friends. Today I am here to present the speech on Independence Day.
Independence Day is a big moment for India as today on this day the country got freedom from the British and the 15th of August of every year is celebrated as the Independence Day of India. After years of struggling with the British, we got the freedom on 15th August 1947. The British have been ruling India since years, and the country unitedly fought with the British and asked them to leave the country. It was a proud moment for the country as the flag of the country flew high with independent. Everybody called the National Anthem for the first time in concert, and people cherished the moment. It was a very happy moment for the country and Jawahar Lal Nehru the then Prime Minister of India addressed the nation and declared independence. A lot of freedom fighters gave their life for us, for the country so that we can breathe the air of freedom and not live ruled by the Britishers.
Today, we salute all of them, and we should never forget what they have done for us. The people the country fought in unison to make the country a free country. The British owe a lot as whatever they have taken from us they must pay back.
The British have also developed and built rails and gave us different things, but it was only for their benefit. The people never thought that they would live like this how the British lived in our country, but today the Indians are living in a far better condition than them. The British have used a lot of our people for their benefit but let bygone be gone. The jawans of our country have given their life so that we can live happily. We must salute them and should be proud of them.
Independence Day is a day to celebrate. People come out on the streets and hail for the country and show patriotism, which is a very good thing, but it should not be limited only to this day. People should feel patriotic in their everyday life as well, and they should keep doing good things for the country. On this day we all must take a pledge that we should respect what our ancestors left for us. We must respect every individual. We should even make sure that the people of the country are getting educated so that they can help in the development of the nation and make this country a better place to live in.
Let us all stand together on this day and make sure that we make this country a better place to live and that every individual respects the flag and they do whatever they can to make India a better nation. Let us all stand up for the Nation and make a pledge to make this place a better place to live.
Jai Hind! Jai Bharat!
Short Speech On Independence Day For Primary Students 2019
Hon’ble Chief Guest, Principal, Vice Principal, Dear Friends and Lovely Students – Warm Greetings to all of you and welcome to the Independence Day celebration of our school!
It is a matter of great joy that we are entering into the 73rd independent year of our country and I am happy to have got this chance of speaking my heart out on this great possibility. August 15 is the date we as Indians should feel independent of because it was after long years of effort and sacrifice of our forefathers that our motherland could lastly rise as a sovereign nation. We should never more forget the sacrifices of our forefathers, but the value and appreciate it because taking our freedom forgiven and not having a feeling of patriotism in our souls would mean that we are causing a great feeling of disrespect to the beliefs and ideas of our forefathers.
Our country has always been the land of immense wealth and which was why it earned the title of “Golden Bird.” The Britishers have not directly invaded India, but stealthily in the garb of trading with us and with their creative strategies began occupying different regions of our country. The policy that they resorted to breaking the unity of our country was “Divide and Rule.” We all understand that our country is a land of great diversity and the Britishers took unfair benefit of it. They divided us on various grounds, such as in the name of religion, region, caste, class, and creed. And, we Indians could not make out their lying behavior and lost our every priced mastery.
It was only when their atrocities became excruciating that some large Indian revolutionists, such as Chandra Shekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, Subhas Chandra Bose, Lala Lajpat Rai, Rani Laxmi Bai and many other came to the fore to confront the condition boldly and drive away the Britishers from our land. One important thing that they did was to show the clever strategies of the Britishers and what they were actually up to, i.e., to establish their rule on our land. After a lot of struggle, they could protect the force and come up with troops to put up a fight against them to gain independence. They just lived that glorious dream when our country would be free and so continued to wage war against them to realize that dream. They even happily lost their lives for their motherland.
Throughout the whole time, our country testified many hardships. However, after winning back its freedom, there was no looking back. Our country started making progress in different fields of science, technology, agriculture, infrastructure as well as industrialization. At the same time, several terrorist crimes harshly stunted the economy of our country, including political scams which hurt the honesty of our country. But the spirit of our nation is still the same and continues to rise.
So let’s take a commitment to make our nation proud with our wonderful deeds and never lay ruin the sacrifice of our forefathers.
Thank you and let’s listen to it from everyone Mera Bharat Mahan!
Short Speech On Independence Day 2019
Good Morning one and all – First of all a Best Happy Independence Day 2019 to all of you!
Students, you must be feeling shocked why our school has organized the function today, i.e., on Independence Day and not before like it always does. But let me tell you the idea why control planned it this way is because we wanted to make it even more special by celebrating it on that very day itself with great pomp and show.
Independence Day is declared as a national vacation in our country and as we all know that it falls on the 15th of August every year. The freedom that our country gained on that historic day was a discovery moment for all the Indians as it was won after a long period of harsh struggle and sacrifice of our forefathers. And most importantly our freedom fighters such as Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, and Subhash Chandra Bose lost their lives to free India from bondage and a state of poverty. Therefore, let’s pay a grand tribute to those great souls who never lived for themselves but their motherland.
Secondly, we can pay tribute to them in the true sense of the term by dedicatedly working for our motherland and never achieving any such deeds which may leave a blot on the honor and pride of our country. We are born here and being the residents of our country it grows our duty to bring fame and accolades to our country. This is called truly devoted enthusiasm; we are not supposed to be enthusiasts or to wage actions but to do whatever best we can in our ability.
It doesn’t matter whether one is a doctor, engineer, teacher or a leader by position; what matters is our honesty and hard work. How well we serve our motherland by performing our duties well and not causing harm to any living individual and also by inculcating such virtues as sympathy, feeling of brotherhood, truthfulness, etc. A person who is cunning will not only malign his name but that of his children and nation as a whole. Our nation doesn’t need such people, but hardworking and honest people. So students – you being the youth and future of our country – are expected to follow the path of kindness and never let the country down.
Our country is a rich land of various cultural, religious, social and moral values. We are also miners in the field of Ayurveda and Science since ancient times. All these qualities combined make India stand out from the remaining countries in the world and quite popular-priced in the west. India is known for its wide diversity of developmental, social as well as topographical difference and therefore we should feel proud to be born in India, which is the world’s biggest democracy expanding at a fast pace. We have achieved success in the area of the telecom industry, green revolution as well as Space Technology. And now, we are developing in the sector of the IT industry too.
I honestly hope that our country continues to excel in all the fields achievable and become the next superpower in the generations to come. This is all from my side.
